About Me-

I’m a mom of two, fitness coach for over 9 years, and a Doula! My passion for this work began with my own journey into motherhood where I saw first hand just how overwhelming it can feel and how big the gap in support is for moms. I went into my first pregnancy like many others, scouring the internet and social media for the “must have” lists and “everything you need to know” articles. It was overwhelming trying to sort through all of the information. I went into my first labor feeling like I knew what to expect but I was unprepared for how induction medications would affect me and how to cope with my Birth Plan going slightly off the rails. With my second, I entered my birth space with a completely different mindset and education due to my passion and knowledge as a budding Doula. It made a world of a difference sparked my passion to support other families through their journey.

My goal as your doula is to empower you with the knowledge, support, and tools needed to confidently make the decisions best for you and your family. I strive to be a calm and steady presence through the beautiful chaos that is birth, and support you as you enter this new chapter.

-Why a Doula?-

A Birth Doula is a non medical professional who offers physical, emotional, and educational support to growing families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The goal of a Doula is to empower, support, and advocate for you as a member of your team.

Information

Leading up to your birth, we will meet 1-3x to go over Prenatal and Postpartum education. We will go over the foundations of birth, draft a birth plan, learn about the different stages of labor and pain management techniques, and discuss postpartum planning and newborn care.

Communication

You’ll have access to email/text/call support throughout pregnancy, early labor, and postpartum. As your Doula, I can foster positive communication with your birth team, support informed decisions, and help you advocate for yourself.

Emotional Support

The journey into motherhood can be overwhelming! Even if you already have kid(s), each pregnancy and labor is unique. As your Doula, I can teach you relaxation techniques, answer questions, provide encouragement, and create a calm environment.

Continuous Labor Support

It’s baby day! Throughout labor, a Doula can aid in position changes, massage, counter pressure/pain relief techniques, hydrotherapy, and breastfeeding support. We help you advocate for your birth plan, hold space for when plans change, and encourage you through the process.

Postpartum Support

After your baby and you are home, I will come over to support breastfeeding if that’s your plan, help with light chores, and go over any questions you may have from your birth
